The farmhouse is placed in the middle of the countryside, on the south side of the hill of Lucignano. More than one hectare of land around the house is fenced for your privacy. Blue and white herons are often found in the lake, fallow deers graze around the house. Lucignano is a medieval 'hill town'. It has a unique rounded town plan,churches of the 13th and 18th century , a museum, several restaurants and shops. Some of the most beautiful towns of Tuscany are only 30 min. by car: Arezzo, Siena, Cortona, Montepulciano, Pienza, Montalcino. Umbria with Perugia and Trasimeno lake is also close, as well as Florence (60 min.). The area is well known for top quality wines, (e.g. Brunello di Montalcino), but also for good wines at reasonable prices. Shopping malls and fashion outlets are in the area. A railway station is 6 kms from the house.
