The 300-year old stone cottage with beamed ceilings and terracotta floors nestles in its own hillside olive grove and is reached along a private road. Exceptional views. Ideal for two adults and up to two children, it is available all year round. Tastefully furnished. The house is surrounded by terraces and gardens. Tables, chairs and umbrellas are provided for outdoor meals and relaxation. A new swimming pool, with a restaurant, is just five minutes walk away. Wi-Fi internet access is available on request..

| The house is secluded without being too isolated, and is only 10 minutes walk away from picturesque Cortona along a panoramic road. The apartment consists of a large living room with kitchen corner and two sofa beds, a double bedroom, a bathroom and a small sitting room. All rooms overlook or open out on to lovely gardens and views of the Tuscan hills. The English speaking owner cooks (by arrangement) gourmet meals which are a combination of Italian and French traditional country specialities. Sample menu on request. A truly peaceful and friendly atmosphere. |

A car is a must if you want to visit in comfort the many places of interest in the area. Italian public transport is of only limited use to visitors, although there is a fairly good train service to Rome and Florence.
A new direct air link (Ryanair) has just opened between the UK and the Umbrian city of Perugia, only 30 minutes drive away. Other convenient airports to fly to are Pisa and Florence.
You can swim in nearby Lake Trasimeno which has some agreeable beaches.
In Summer there are excellent jazz and classical music festivals and concerts in and around Cortona, also food and wine tasting events. The owner will be delighted to give you any information you may wish to have about local events, and to guide you on how best to enjoy your stay at La Torre.
